The literal meaning of "Da Yun" (Great Destiny/Luck) usually refers to an extraordinary stroke of good fortune. This term often appears in literature, such as in the phrase "trying one's luck." We see instances where individuals, after receiving a critical illness notice and being discharged from the hospital, seek out Qigong masters as a last resort to "try their luck." Consequently, some truly survive, while others do not.

When measured by Truthfulness, the manifestation of "Great Destiny" often requires a spark of sincere faith. Some hold onto a sliver of hope—the thought of "what if it works?"—which carries an element of belief. As a result, they truly encounter their "Great Destiny."

From the perspective of Compassion, if a person’s "stroke of luck" benefits not only themselves but also their family, friends, and society, and gives them the strength to do good deeds, then such destiny is truly worth cherishing.

From the perspective of Forbearance, a true "Great Destiny" inevitably comes with trials. To remain steadfast in the face of hardship and to withstand tests and temptations requires great endurance.

"Great Destiny" doesn't just arrive; it's that you have finally become worthy of it. Truthfulness keeps the path straight; Compassion makes the path wider; Forbearance protects the blooming flowers all along the way.

Having encountered the term "Da Yun" in an extremely precious book, I am sharing its literal meaning and the personal inspiration I’ve gained. For its deeper connotations, one must read the original book thoroughly.
